01 / Manifesto

No obedient prose.

No demographic boxes. No obedient prose. No novels designed by a room full of people afraid of the reader. PHUCK PUBLISHING is a mantra and a threat. It is what happens when the great stories and phenomenal writing tell a bunch of people with an archaic system to kiss my ass and let the work cover the page and affect the reader.

I publish the argument before the market can sand off its fingerprints. I trust readers with ambiguity, appetite, contradiction, and the occasional beautifully placed injury to ego and emotions. Nothing is softened for a category. Nothing is sterilized for a shelf. The work earns its depth of penetration word for word, sentence by sentence, cover to cover.

The page is not a focus group.

A story does not owe the market advance notice of what it intends to become.

Ambiguity is reader participation.

Explanation is not clarity when it removes the only interesting question.

Polish must leave fingerprints.

Perfectly sterilized language is still dead on arrival.
